Meet the brilliant mind behind the 80's most beloved cartoon classics.

Christy Marx is an under-recognized filmmaker who co-created Jem and The Holograms, and wrote for some of the most iconic cartoon shows during the 80s: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Conan the Adventurer, Hypernauts, Captain Power and others.

As a female writer during an era in cinema dominated by men, Christy Marx gave her work a feminine perspective lacking in other cartoons during that time.
